Vue Residence EN

Uruguay

Back Vue 133 proposes to construct an eight (8) unit condominium, with units spread across four (4) floor plates, situated above one (1) level of screened and covered ground floor surface parking. The contemporary design of the project is characterized by simplified lines and alignment of mass. Design balance is achieved by creating a dialogue between the horizontal and vertical facade components and overall massing. The pedestrian and vehicular ingress and egress are celebrated via the proposed pedestrian path and reduced drive aisles in conjunction with liberal landscaping. Vehicular sight safety triangles are ensured through smart selection and placement of landscape specimens. Design and execution in collaboration with Borges & Associates. Back

VPL EN

Back The “VPL” building serves as a temporary hub for artists situated amidst the natural splendor of Vermont. Positioned at the foothill of the property with a gentle slope towards the south, the project seamlessly blends with the picturesque natural scenery. A green roof conceals approximately half of the building, creating an illusion that extends the slope of the terrain. Although this concealed portion appears subterranean, it is, in fact, a result of overlapping structures. The building’s design aims for perfect integration with the landscape, capitalizing on the Southwestern orientation to ensure optimal illumination of rooms and common areas. An exterior staircase leads to the highest point of the hill, allowing observers to appreciate the harmonious fusion between the green roof and the surrounding beauty. The Douglas fir wood facade enhances this powerful combination, showcasing a grey appearance that, when viewed from below the green roof, seamlessly intertwines with the apple maple trunks surrounding the property. The overall scene becomes a genuine source of inspiration for the artists. Back

Design equilibrium is attained through a dialogue between horizontal and vertical facade components, along with the overall massing. The proposed setbacks for side yards, building mass, and scale align with those of other existing structures in the neighborhood. Moreover, deliberate efforts have been undertaken to mitigate perceived massing by adjusting building volumetrics and introducing variations in height. To enhance transparency and alleviate the perceived mass of the building, the ground-level building program has been minimized. 5 bedrooms/ 5.5 bathrooms_550m2 Design and execution in collaboration with Borges & Associates. Back The project features contemporary architectural style, accentuated by various design elements such as transparency, balconies, materiality, pedestrian-friendly river walks, and a balanced proportion and volume, among other considerations. BLU Tower not only preserves and enhances the character of the existing neighborhood but also stands out as an iconic structure in its surroundings. The waterfront facade is context-driven, mirroring the water it faces through its curved balconies. Alternating curves create a “wave” impression, giving the building an unmistakable iconic character. To further enhance the appearance of the waterfront facade, a bronze screen system inspired by mangroves will be implemented, adding visual interest to an otherwise simple glass elevation. Back The LA family residence is situated amidst the natural splendor of Mandeville Canyon, and as such, it endeavors to minimize its impact on the surrounding beauty. The project is centered around establishing an intimate connection with the natural environment and capitalizing on the breathtaking views to the north of the property. Despite facing stringent regulations, the residence adeptly divides activities into two distinct volumes. The well-lit and spacious central zone serves to both separate and unify common family activities. The volumes vary in height, and the single-slope slab roof system efficiently resolves this difference in a practical and successful manner. Carefully selected materials throughout the house contribute to creating a brightly lit space with a modern and minimalist ambiance, meeting the family’s specific requirements. Back
