After 14 years leading teams in international architecture studios in Los Angeles, New York and Miami, Juan Bustelo Romero founded Bustelo Romero Architecture + Design in Madrid. ​

Bustelo Romero Architecture + Design is an innovative studio, both at design, execution and cutting-edge technologies. We have a new way of carrying out, understanding and enjoying architecture and its creative process. ​

We seek to do things in a different way, exploring new methods, systems and technologies applied to architecture and design to improve the quality of our projects and the experience of our clients. ​

This process ensures that the client will always have the level of control in the project with which they feel most comfortable. We work with the latest technologies so that the client could, among other tools, preview their project in detail, make changes in real time, hyper-realistic 2D and 360-degree images. ​

That way we make sure that our projects are the result of a collaborative, innovative and integrated  process. A result that we call all be proud of.

2002. RUNNER-UP AT E.M.V. COMPETITION (Empresa Municipal de la Vivienda). Competition addressed to design affordable housing at Urban Design scale. (Madrid, Spain). In colaboration with Paula Teruel and Rafael de la Cruz.

2006. Horse racing track LORE-TOKI COMPETITION FINALIST. San Sebastián (Spain). In collaboration with Mateu i Baussels.

2008. $300,000 GRANT from Manhattan Borough President’s Office for rooftop learning center conceptual design.

2017. Complex Hotel at Ocean Drive named as the “5º world’s most expected opening Hotel in the world  during 2017” according to Architectural magazine AD (Architectural Digest). In collaboration with Borges and Associates Architects.
