The LA family residence is situated amidst the natural splendor of Mandeville Canyon, and as such, it endeavors to minimize its impact on the surrounding beauty. The project is centered around establishing an intimate connection with the natural environment and capitalizing on the breathtaking views to the north of the property.

Despite facing stringent regulations, the residence adeptly divides activities into two distinct volumes. The well-lit and spacious central zone serves to both separate and unify common family activities. The volumes vary in height, and the single-slope slab roof system efficiently resolves this difference in a practical and successful manner.

Carefully selected materials throughout the house contribute to creating a brightly lit space with a modern and minimalist ambiance, meeting the family’s specific requirements.
